The module TC1 is your first contact with the
telecommunications domain taught at the Electrical Engineering department of
INSA Lyon. This module is built around a series of lectures entitled “Wired communication and transmission lines”,
a series of seminaries and a laboratory session.
This module gives you the basic notions about propagation phenomena occurring on transmission lines at high frequencies. It gives you also an overview of the transmission lines behavior and of the matching circuits. The construction and the use of the Smith Chart are also presented together with the presentation of the S (scattering) parameters.
